How to Properly Use your Dry Herb/Wax Vapor Chamber
Let’s talk shop for bit, ladies and gents. There’s a lot going on with the Dry Herb/Wax Vapor Chamber and I am here to help shed a little light on the subject. Grab your vape pen and let’s get started. Before we dive in, we need to make sure we have an ‘understanding’ – when you want to hit dry herb in the O.G., there are 3 ways to go about it. With the glass screen, without the screen and with a little wax…but we will get into that later. First…
But before you do anything, you must finely grind your product. Your hits are more potent and you get a lot more vapor out of each hit. Get into the Grind!
VAPOR CHAMBER BY THE NUMBERS
So you got your rubber mouthpiece, then that piece the rubber sits in called the mouthpiece filter. Yep you guessed! It filters out any dry herb that can get up in there. There is a metal screen that sits on the bottom side of the mouthpiece filter that is replaceable. In fact, you get 2 extra ones in your kit. Then you have your bulletproof glass screen, and finally your heating chamber.
LOADING YOUR VAPOR CHAMBER
So you finely ground your herb. Now it’s time to start vapin’. Glass screen goes in first like you see above. Then gently scoop/load/whatever into your chamber. Don’t over-pack or jam full – will mess up your vape and also airflow. Screw back on the mouthpiece. Now it’s time for you to warm up that chamber. Vaporization won’t take place unless your are around 375 F for this chamber. So it takes about 20 seconds for this furnace to start heating up. Press and hold the power button for 9 second intervals. Do this for 3 times or until you see vapor start to come out of the T air holes on the sides. Then slowly take draws. Once the chamber is heated up, you can start hitting like normal (press and hold the power button for 2 – 3 seconds). But keep in mind about the vaping temp. If you don’t get any vapor, you are probably not hot enough.
You can also cut out the middle man and leave your bulletproof glass at home. Without a glass, the first hit will combust but then the rest will be vape. And different types of dry herb will act differently. Dry stuff will burn faster, sticky will not. You’ll figure it out.
But the best way is to ditch the glass and drop a little wax in at the bottom. This prevents contact with the coil by the dry herb and you get super potent rips. Plus you won’t be re-loading nearly as often. For the serious O.G’s only.
WAXES & CONCENTRATES
You want to load your chamber with wax by using the wax ice pick tool. Depending on what kind you have, you will load accordingly. Shatter/crumble you can just drop in. But the sticky icky, you need to load with the tool. You may have to just load on the side, then heat it and melt it onto the coil.
This next bit is very important kid so listen carefully…there are air holes half way up the ceramic chamber. You overfill with wax and it turns to liquid, doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out what happens next. So don’t overload with the precious icky stuff. Too expensive to go to waste like that. Load a little at a time and you will be good for hours.
DO A DAB
Normally, you would simply load a small amount of your favorite concentrate into the chamber with the dab tool. Some may land on the side of the chamber, some may go directly down to the coil. You heat it up for 10 to 20 seconds and you start to get some really nice vapor rips. There is actually another way to use the Dry Herb/Wax Cartridge for waxes and concentrates. It’s as close as you can get to dabbing with a portable device. Unscrew your mouthpiece and set aside. Then take your Dry Herb/Wax Vapor Chamber and dip the top of it in your wax so the top is covered in wax (this works best with crumble or any wax that you can easily shape). In a perfect world, the whole opening of the chamber should have wax covering it now. Grab the mouthpiece and screw back on. Your OG battery has a 10 second auto-shutoff. This is where this comes in super handy. Hold down the power button for 9 seconds, release then hold again. As the chamber heats up and heat builds at the top of the chamber, your wax will start to melt and drip directly down. The coils will be red hot at this point. As soon as a drop of wax falls down and hits the coils, you will have a dab-like rip waiting in the chamber.
After dabbing, be very careful handling the Dry Herb/Wax Vapor Chamber. If you need to reload, you must wait a few minutes to let the chamber cool. The outer aluminum casing will get hot to the touch, so you will need to let it cool after a long session of heating before you reload.
THE O.G. RULES
RULE #1 – Never touch your coil. Got it? You just start makin’ trouble for yourself if you do.
RULE #2 – Keep your baby clean. Inside of the chamber is easy to clean with the dry herb cleaning tool (pipe cleaner) or a rag with some 420 Cleaner or rubbing alcohol, and you will be good to go. To clean the coil, simply hold down the power button for 9 second intervals and it will burn off any residue. Keep that coil hot baby! Don’t forget the mouthpiece too. If you get build up in the mouthpiece, remove your metal screen and wipe down your mouthpiece (both parts), making sure you got it nice and clean.
RULE #3 – Replace your coil every 8 months. You got that 30% coupon when you registered your warranty right? Right!? Well, I’m just sayin’ maybe you take that coupon for a test drive and grab a new dry herb/wax vapor chamber.
RULE #4 – Careful with that BulletProof Glass! That baby gets hot! Let it cool between re-loads. Just like a Tommy Gun, that barrel gets mighty hot…

COMMON ISSUES
I am not getting any vapor?
Make sure your battery is fully charged and turned on (hit the button 3 times in rapid succession). Then make sure you have liquid in the chamber that has wicked into the coil (see above). Then finally, make sure your vapor chamber is seated properly with your battery. There will be a small gap between the bottom of the vapor chamber and your battery electrode (top part of battery). This allows for air flow into your vapor chamber and bigger vapor hits. If you are still running into trouble, it means your coil is not screwed in all the way to the base of the chamber. Make sure that the coil is screwed in snug to the base and flush so the electrode has good contact with the battery.
I am getting weak vapor hits. What do I do?
You are almost home, stretch. Let’s go over the finer points again and get you right.
With the Screen – Drop in your screen into the chamber. Finely grind your dry herb. Then load in your dry herb (don’t over-pack). Close it up and then hold the power button down for 9 second intervals. Repeat 2 – 3 times until the chamber is nice and warm (look for vapor coming out of the T air holes. Then take slow draws. Pure vapor hits!
Without the Screen – Finely grind your dry herb. Then load in your dry herb (don’t over-pack). Close it up and then hold the power button down for 3 – 4 seconds and take slow draws. You will get some combustion at first with this method, but then it will start to vape. Big hits you can feel!
With a Little Wax – No screen or jacket required. Finely grind your dry herb. Load in a tiny bit of wax to coat the bottom of the vapor chamber. Then load in your dry herb (don’t over-pack). Close it up and then hold the power button down for 3 – 4 seconds and take slow draws. Pure vapor rips – super potent!
The LED is blinking on the power button. What do I do?
This means you have over-tightened the vapor chamber to the battery. It’s probably also terrible to hit – feels like you are breathing through a straw. Loosen it a very small amount and it will allow the electrodes to be flush (vapor chamber electrode and battery electrode) and have better air flow. If you look closely, you will see little slits on the sides of the bottom of the vapor chamber – that is for air flow. Remember to not over-tighten the vapor chamber when you attach it to the battery.
The blinking battery means 1 of 2 things:
- Low Voltage Indicator – your battery is low. Get it on a charger and go get a drink.
- Short protection – your battery detects a short (open circuit i.e. electrodes not contacting correctly or something is wrong with your coil).
I really want to touch the coil. Should I?
Looks likes somebody’s not a reader. See Rule #1 Hotshot. You touch that coil, you are playin’ with fire kid.
